The work is real. Kitchens that didn’t have enough counter space, bathrooms with tile that had been cracked for a decade, whole-home remodels where a family finally gets the house they’ve been waiting on. That’s what Penhallow Remodeling does, and we do it with a written price before the first tool comes off the truck. If you want to work for a company where the job is done right — not rushed out the door — and where the crew you’re on takes that seriously, keep reading.
We’re part of the Kingswell family of companies. Each Penhallow location is independently owned and operated, which means you’ll work with a local crew that knows the area. You’re also backed by a national brand that’s been running jobs to the same standard since 2004. That combination — local team, national backbone — is something most construction jobs don’t offer.
Who We’re Looking For
- Kitchen Remodeling Installer: Someone who takes cabinet layout personally, measures twice as a reflex, and won’t sign off on a countertop seam that isn’t right.
- Bathroom Remodeling Technician: A detail-oriented installer who understands that a bathroom remodel happens in a small space where every finish decision is visible from every corner.
- General Construction Technician: A hands-on builder who can move across tasks — framing, finish work, tile, drywall — and holds quality on every one of them.
- Apprentice / Entry-Level Installer: Someone new to the trade, or new to residential remodeling, who shows up ready to learn and doesn’t cut corners to get to lunch faster.
- Project Coordinator: An organized communicator who keeps jobs on schedule, keeps homeowners informed, and understands that a job running on time is not an accident.
- Customer Service Representative: A calm, clear person who can answer a homeowner’s question at any hour, give them a straight answer, and make sure the right person follows up.
What We Offer
A Real Path, Not a Plateau
We bring apprentices in and teach them the Penhallow way of running a job — written price, clean site, guarantee in writing. From there, the path to lead technician is based on how you work, not how long you’ve waited. If you’re good and you take it seriously, that gets recognized.
Work You Can Stand Behind
We don’t cut materials to save margin. We source from brands like KraftMaid, Wellborn, Cambria, Silestone, Kohler, Moen, and James Hardie because the guarantee we put in writing has to be backed by products that hold up. When you install something for a homeowner, you’ll know it’s going to last. That matters when your name is on the work.
Local Crew, National Brand
You work with the same team every day — local people who know the area. But behind that crew is the Kingswell brand, which means consistent standards, consistent training, and the kind of operational support that an independent shop running alone doesn’t have. It’s the best of both, honestly.
Steady, Year-Round Demand
Kitchens and bathrooms don’t go out of season. Homeowners plan these projects all year, and Penhallow’s reputation for written pricing and the 365-Day Done Right Promise keeps the pipeline full. We’re not a company that’s busy in spring and quiet in December. The work is consistent, and so is the crew.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve spent time doing finish carpentry, tile work, painting, moving furniture, or any kind of hands-on labor — you already have more transferable skill than you probably realize. Spatial awareness, working carefully in someone’s home, and taking pride in how something looks when it’s done: those things matter here, and they’re hard to teach from scratch.
What we teach you is the Penhallow system. How we write a scope of work. How we talk to homeowners. How we leave a job site. How the Kingswell Guarantee works and why we run every job to it. The first months are structured — you’ll shadow experienced technicians, ask questions, and build up to leading tasks on your own. We’d rather take the time to bring someone up right than rush them onto a job they’re not ready for.
If you’re willing to work clean, work carefully, and actually care how the finished kitchen or bathroom looks to the family who lives there, we’d like to hear from you.
How to Apply
Call us at (936) 259-2607 — a real person answers, any time — or use the form below.
