Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Penhallow Remodeling team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Construction Work
Every job at Penhallow Remodeling is priced one way: a free written estimate, specific to your project, before any work begins. No hourly rate running in the background, no plan to join, nothing to sign up for. We look at the job, we write the number down, and that number is what you owe when the work is done – not a version of it, not a starting point. The written estimate is the price.
That matters because construction work has a reputation for moving targets. A number said out loud on a Tuesday can turn into a different number on the invoice the following week. We don’t work that way. The written price lands before the first tool comes out, and it doesn’t move unless you ask us to change the scope – and even then, we stop and re-quote before we touch the new work.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out
Nothing. The estimate visit is free.
Here’s what happens: one of our background-checked, uniformed project professionals comes to your home, walks the space with you, asks the questions that need asking, and puts together a written price for the specific work you need done. You’re not handed a range. You’re not told “it depends.” You get a real number, in writing, before anyone picks up a tool.
At the end of that visit, you’re free to say yes or no. There’s no pressure, no follow-up calls every other day, and no fee for the visit itself. If you’re not ready to move forward, that’s fine. The estimate costs you an hour of your time and nothing else.
When People Usually Call Us
Remodeling work tends to arrive at one of two moments. The first is reactive – a bathroom that has finally worn out its welcome, a kitchen layout that stopped making sense years ago, or a finish that looked fine until it didn’t. Something tips, and the project that’s been on the back burner moves to the front.
The second is planned. Spring brings the urge to start something before summer gets busy. Fall is when homeowners look around before the holidays and realize they’d rather not host another family gathering in a kitchen they’ve been tolerating for a decade. Either window works for us.
What we see consistently is that the homeowners who call early in the planning cycle get the most out of the estimate visit – because they come with questions, and we come with answers about what the work actually involves, what it takes to do it right, and what the written price looks like for the scope they have in mind. There’s no bad time to call. A live person answers at any hour, every day of the week.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way
Whether you’re calling because something failed or because you’ve been planning for months, the standards don’t change.
Every Penhallow project runs on The Kingswell Way: a written price before any work starts, a real arrival window we hold ourselves to, a job site left cleaner than we found it, and a written guarantee on the work. That last one is the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the work fails inside the guarantee period, we come back and fix it at no charge – covered in writing on every project, not as a promotional offer but as a standing commitment.
Our technicians are background-checked and arrive in uniform. The materials we specify come from trade brands you can look up: KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinetry, Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone countertops, Kohler, Moen, and Delta fixtures, James Hardie products, and others in the same tier. The guarantee is only as solid as the materials behind it, and we take that seriously.
A live person answers calls around the clock – not a voicemail prompt, not an answering service, a real person. If you have a question at 9 on a Tuesday or 11 on a Sunday, the phone gets answered.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, completely. We come to your home, assess the work, and give you a written price at no charge. If you decide not to move forward, you owe us nothing – not a consultation fee, not a trip charge. The estimate visit is free, full stop.
Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?
We don’t, and that’s a deliberate choice. Every job is priced job-by-job off a free written estimate – that’s the only pricing mechanism we operate. No financing products, no subscriptions, no payment plans, nothing to sign up for. The written price tells you what the job costs; how you handle that on your end is your business.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. If you have questions about which applies to your specific project, the easiest thing is to call us before the estimate visit – we’ll sort it out in plain language before anyone shows up at your door.
Does the price change once you’re here?
No. The written estimate is the price. If we open a wall and find something that genuinely changes the scope – something neither of us could have seen at the estimate visit – we stop, we show you what we found, and we give you a new written price before any additional work begins. You decide whether to proceed. The original scope doesn’t get repriced; only the new scope does, and only with your sign-off first.
